Spence Wilson leaves Regions board

Memphis businessman Spence L. Wilson resigned from Regions Financial Corp.’s Board of Directors this week.

In a public filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the bank said Wilson left the company on Nov. 3.

Wilson has been a board member of Union Planters Corp. – which was acquired by Regions – since 1996. He is president of Kemmons Wilson Inc., a private investment firm.

Last year, Wilson earned nearly $81,000 as a board member, according to Morningstar Inc.
