Delta to add flights in Memphis
Memphis Business Journal
Reassurances by Memphis International Airport officials that the merger between Northwest Airlines Corp. and Delta Air Lines Inc. would be good for Memphis seem to be preliminarily true as Delta announced Wednesday that the combined airline would be adding flights here.
The new flights will include improved connections to Atlanta as well as new flights to New York-JFK and Salt Lake City.
Delta also said it plans on increasing capacity at its domestic hubs by 14.5 percent by the first of next year.
From its hubs in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Memphis, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York-JFK, Salt Lake City and Tokyo-Narita, Delta and its Northwest subsidiary offer service to more than 375 destinations worldwide in 66 countries and serve more than 170 million passengers each year.
