ServiceMaster revenues up slightly in 3Q

The ServiceMaster Co. reported third quarter revenues of $948.1 million, a 0.6 percent increase from $942.8 million a year ago.
The Memphis-based company posted new income of $17 million in the quarter, up from a loss of $33.4 million a year ago, according to the most recent quarterly reported filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, the company posted a net loss of $40.7 million on revenue of $2.58 billion, compared to a profit of $63.7 million on revenues of $2.63 billion for the same period a year ago.
ServiceMaster is now privately held, but continues to provide financial reporting to the SEC because the company holds some public debt.
Based in Memphis, ServiceMaster serves residential and commercial customers through its brands TruGreen, TruGreen LandCare, Terminix, American Home Shield, InStar Services Group, ServiceMaster Clean, Merry Maids, Furniture Medic and AmeriSpec.
