Nashville Business Journal

Medication therapy management provider PharmMD has added Michael Burcham, Kevin Hutchinson and Dr. Martin Makary to the company’s advisory board.

Makary is an active surgeon at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and professor for the university's Bloomberg School of Public Health. He serves in leadership roles for the United Nations World Health Organization, American College of Surgeons and International Union of Risk Management.

Burcham most recently served as president of ParadigmHealth, a specialty care and disease management provider that integrates care and disease management services for health plan and employer clients. Before joining ParadigmHealth, Burcham founded and was president of Theraphysics, a specialty rehabilitation firm.

Hutchinson is president and CEO of Prematics, developer of a fully managed electronic medication prescribing solution. Before joining Prematics, Hutchinson was founding president and CEO of SureScripts, where he led the effort to finance, build and deploy the Pharmacy Health Information Exchange, a national network for electronic prescribing and health information exchange.

Brentwood-based PharmMD works with employers and payers to ensure that beneficiaries are receiving the most appropriate medications.
