Hawaii hardware CEO leads national board

The president and CEO of a Big Island company has been elected to head the Do It Best Corp. board of directors.

Mike Fujimoto, president and CEO of HPM Building Supply, was elected chairman of the board of hardware, lumber and building materials buying co-op Do It Best Corp.

HPM Building Supply has been a Do It Best Corp. member since 1995, and Fujimoto has been an active member of the board since 2004 and has served as vice chairman since 2007.

Do It Best Corp., based in Ft. Wayne, Ind., is the only U.S.-based, member-owned hardware, lumber and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry.
