Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. has agreed to install a navigation system in its new vehicles that will be compatible with Clear Channel Radio’s Total Traffic Network.
The Total Traffic Network will provide real time traffic information over the Radio Data System Traffic Message Channel as a free service to owners of new Canadian Volvo vehicles.

Clear Channel’s Total Traffic Network is a leading source of current traffic information supplying real-time traffic data to more than 500,000 subscribers. In addition to Volvo Canada, the company’s customers include portable navigation systems, other automakers, broadcast media, wireless and Internet-based services.
Clear Channel Radio is a subsidiary of San Antonio-based Clear Channel Communications Inc. Clear Channel Communications is owned by CC Media Holdings Inc. (OTCBB: CCMO), a company formed by private equity groups Thomas H. Lee Partners LP and Bain Capital Partners LLC.
