USA3000 back at St. Pete Clearwater
Tampa Bay Business Journal
USA3000 Airlines said Thursday it will restart non-stop flights in December between St. Petersburg Clearwater International Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
The airline discontinued service to six midwestern cities from PIE on Aug. 18, but nearly 7,000 letters and e-mails requesting a return of the service have deluged the company.
“The community was sad to see them go, as we were and their support helped bring them back,” PIE Director Noah Lagos said in a release. “The Chicago area has always been a strong market for tourism to Tampa Bay.”
The airline also cited lower fuel prices and reduced airline capacities as reasons for the reversal.
USA3000 said it will offer $94.99 each-way introductory fares Sunday through Friday.
