ISP signs Florida State

The Business Journal of the Greater Triad Area

ISP, the Winston-Salem-based collegiate sports marketing firm, said it has reached a deal with Florida State University to handle that school's multimedia rights related to athletics.

The contract is worth a minimum of $66 million over a 10-year period for Florida State, the school said in a release that was also distributed by ISP. The contract begins July 1 and runs through 2017.

The partnership guarantees the university an annual rights fee plus additional considerations based on revenue generated by ISP, which represents more than 40 NCAA schools, conferences or events.

ISP replaces Host Communications, which had been FSU's multimedia rights holder for the past 17 years.

"This is a tremendously exciting day for our company," said ISP President and CEO Ben Sutton. "Not only does this partnership further our overall relationship with the Atlantic Coast Conference, but it provides us the opportunity to work with one of this country's great universities and an athletic program that has earned what is truly a national reputation for success."

ISP also works with the ACC as well as member schools Wake Forest, Boston College, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Miami and Virginia Tech.
