Appalachian State signs sports media-rights deal with ISP

Appalachian State University and ISP, a sports marketing firm based in Winston-Salem, have agreed on a multimedia rights deal through 2017.
ISP served this past year in an advisory capacity with production of the Mountaineers radio network and other marketing services in the athletic department.
"Our agreement with ISP will benefit all 20 of our varsity sports as well as Mountaineer fans across the state, region and nation," said Charlie Cobb, ASU athletic director.
Under the partnership, ASU receives an annual rights fee while ISP receives the rights to all sales and marketing opportunities associated with Mountaineer athletics, including radio broadcasts, print advertising, sponsorships on the athletic department's Web site and all signage in university athletic facilities.
Founded in 1992, ISP holds the media rights to more than 50 college athletic programs, conferences, events and venues across the country.
