Downtown Raleigh restaurant to shut down

Triangle Business Journal

The Riviera Resto and Mediterranean Lounge in downtown Raleigh will close its doors for good Monday night.

It wasn’t immediately clear why the restaurant is shutting down. News of the closure came in the form of a notice on the social Web site Facebook, which invited patrons to the restaurant this evening.

“Riviera is closing her doors,” the notice says. “Thanks to everyone for making it such a wonderful place!”

A call to the restaurant seeking comment wasn’t immediately returned.

Riviera opened about two years ago on South Wilmington Street.
