SoftBrands signs $27M deal with Air Force

Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal - by Katharine Grayson Staff Writer

SoftBrands Inc. has inked a $27 million contract with the U.S. Air Force.

The Minneapolis company said the Air Force will use its software to help manage 95 lodges on its U.S. and overseas bases. Sofbrands (Amex: SBN) sells software to the hospitality industry. Its products help hotels handle tasks ranging from making reservations to setting room rates.

The company will start work on the Air Force project next month. Its contract will run for eight years.
