Mpls. loses bid to host Final Four

Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal - by Katharine Grayson Staff Writer

Minneapolis has lost its bid to host the Final Four basketball championship.

The NCAA announced Wednesday that New Orleans will host the tournament in 2012, with Atlanta, Dallas, Indianapolis and Houston hosting consecutive championships through 2016.

Minneapolis was named a finalist, however, giving it an opportunity to host preliminary rounds.
